Trump says considering federal gas tax suspension
United States President Donald Trump told reporters in front of the White House on Tuesday that he is currently considering suspending the federal gas tax. „We are thinking about it,“ he said, as it was previously suggested that such a step was necessary for the stabilization of rising energy prices.
Earlier, the US head of state inked an executive order to cut diesel costs immediately by „authorizing highway use of tax-free dyed diesel and deferring the federal diesel excise tax through the end of the year.“ Furthermore, the Europeans recently agreed to release their own diesel reserves.
